A Great Way to Practice Chipping

One of the most difficult shots in golf is the touch chip shot from a few yards off the green. In that situation, multiple options for golfers are available, including a chip and run shot with a seven or eight iron, or a lob shot that will sit very close to its first contact with the green. The difficulty of this shot makes it essential to practice.

“I have been skeptical of golf mats that claim to feel like grass. I love the game of golf and want practice equipment that will help me improve my game. I’ve been through a number of golf mats that had claimed to feel like grass and up until now have been disappointed. Before spending hundreds if dollars on another promise I wanted to “test drive” the Country Club Elite Mat for myself.

I only needed to take a few swings with my 7-iron to know that I came to the right place. I purchased the 5×5 on the spot - if your looking for a great practice aid you should too.

Cordially,”

William M. Brahm, D.D.S.

With the true feeling of this golf pitching mat your game will certainly improve in all aspects. This is the best way to practice your chipping game because the you can practice chipping right in your backyard with this realistic golf mat alongside a putting green.

Manage Your Thoughts to Manage Your Game

It’s not your typical golf book, but I am reading Psycho-Cybernetics right now (a classic mind management book) and there
are some references to golf:

1) “Jack Nicklause, the late Payne Stewart,
and many other top golfers have made very
specific statements about their reliance on
“the mental side of golf”. In foreword of the
book MIND OVER GOLF” … Payne Stewart
wrote” With my old mind set I don’t think I
would have been able to prevail in either
of those major championships. But with my
new mental approach, I was able to raise
my game to the highest level when I had to”
written by Dr. Richard Coop

Psych-Cyb: ” A Boston psychologist now
coaching pro golfers, profiled in Golf Magazine,
says “By My calculations, the average golfer
spends about 86% of their time doing nothing
but wrestling with their thoughts and emotions,
feeling one way or the another about what is
taking place, feeling exhilaration or anger,
struggling to keep focused, worrying about
what’s happened or what is up ahead.”
It only stand to reason that 86% of the
success / failure determination is due
to management of thoughts and emotions,
not swing mechanics or putting prowess.”

Good Thinking, Jay
