Home Putting Greens
You need to be a good putter for golf to be fun. There is nothing worse that getting to the green in regulation only to 3-putt or dare I even say it 4-putt.
Here’s Tip that I saw from Cameron McCormick. My friend Mike Bender also uses a similar drill drill down-hill for added touch.
Find an area on the green with little or no left/right break. Lay your balls at the spot you will be starting from walk down your target line and place a tee or coin 15-feet away and then another mark at 20-feet.
Your goal is to putt all 5 balls progressively deeper into this zone. If you mess-up start over.
This drill will help you develop better distance touch on your putts.
You can adjust the distances to suite your practice green and skill level. And don’t forget to have some fun with it.
If you can’t get to the range or course. There are some good back yard home putting greens to consider.
